Samburu Serena Safari Lodge

Situated on the fertile banks of the Uaso Nyiro River, in the center of the Samburu Game Reserve in Kenya’s rugged, semi-arid Northern Province, Samburu Serena Lodge echoes the robust rhythms of riverfront life. The rustic yet convivial lodge blends with the environment by making full use of native materials.

All guestrooms have private verandahs that overlook the river where crocodiles feed in full view. The surrounding terrain is renowned for rare game long necked gerenuk, Gravy’s zebras, reticulate giraffes and Beisa oryx. Leopards are frequently passers by. Game drives and bird watching safaris are the ideal way to experience the native wildlife in its natural splendor.

It has 62 rooms, including 8 family rooms. Champagne breakfasts and cocktail parties overlooking the aptly named Crocodile Point, Moonlit dinners in the bush and beside the river. Swimming pool. Camel Safaris. Tribal dance performances daily. Qualified naturalist leads bird-sighting walks on the lodge grounds. Expert slide shows / lectures are given every evening.
