
Mombasa is an island with an intriguing blend of Arabic
and African cultures. Visit the bazaar where you'll find
African carvings in wood and stone, oriental brass-bound
boxes, skills and batiks, mangoes, paw paws.
Don't miss the 16th Century Fort Jesus, the Hindu Temple
and the Arab Dhows in the harbor. From you hotel take a
glass-bottomed boat out to the reef or have a day game
fishing out in the Sea for Marlin, Tuna and Barracuda.
The coast with its miles of white sandy beaches are
protected by the coral reef, which makes snorkeling
fascinating and swimming warm and safe.
Visit museum ‘Fort Jesus’ which was build by the
Portuguese in the 1593 for the purpose of their
defense.

Arab dhows which operate in East Africa coast islands
even today.
Proceed to the Arab town with its maze of narrow
twisting alleys displaying beautifully curved doors,
jewellery, curio shops and Hindu temple.
Elephant task and Akamba handicraft co-operative
society. About one thousand members produce a great
variety of very reasonably priced woodcarving.
Lunch, visit Haller Park used to be quarries previously
excavated by Bamburi cement for cement production.
Transformed into a variety of recreational facilities
including forest, nature trails and game sanctuaries,
crocodile and fish farms.
Haller Park is world famous for its Nature Trails which
is home to hippopotamus, antelopes, birds, reptiles,
snakes, giant tortoises, crocodiles and giraffes.
Experience a mini safari break. The Baobab Adventure is
eco-tourism at its best, from quarry wasteland to
tropical paradise.
Watch the feeding of the resident animals at a very
close range before driving back to your hotel.
