The
essence of Amboseli is Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, which
dominates everything in sight. Oltukai is camouflaged in a forest of fever
trees and palms. From your room stretches a panorama of landscape, sky and
wildlife with the massive majesty of snow-capped Kilimanjaro in the
background.
Cottage
style accommodation spreads out on either side of the main lodge. The
architecture is unobtrusive with lots of wood, local stone and slate.
Unusually there are two double rooms especially designed for the disabled
and ramps for wheelchairs are the norm.

you arrive at lunchtime, there’s time for a swim and a siesta before the
late afternoon game drive to view the profusion of game and bird life.
